In 1976 a small boy hounded his parents into buying him a baby alligator. After a tragedy involving the family cat, his father flushed the ever-expanding gator into a local storm drain. Modern day: Larry Johnson, recently widowed and eyeing retirement, watches local pets vanish at an alarming rate. When his own dog limps home mauled, city officials ignore the neighbourhood’s pleas — so the community takes matters into their own hands, and meets a 32-foot alligator.
